“A MIXING OF MINDS”
The First Monday Morning of the Month Book Club Coffee & Book Chat is about sharing the books that we love with other readers. The gathering often becomes infused with lively conversations that link us to related journeys into other aspects of books, such as book selection, the marketing and publishing of books, and the ever-increasing popularity of e-readers such as the Kindle, Nook, Sony, and the iPad.
A snapshot of what our group is all about was beautifully expressed by two group members - a mixing of minds and words to form this single quote: “When we scan another life by immersing ourselves in engaging books, both fiction and nonfiction, we come away with a different perspective regarding our own lives… to read involves a mixing of minds between author and reader.”
